The Heart of Our SACCO

Smart Savers Regulated N-WDT Sacco (formerly known as General Motors Sacco) is a Savings and
Credit Society established in 1979 to serve employees of the then General Motors (K) Ltd. Membership is
open to individuals, groups, and corporates.

Smart Savers Sacco defined

Smart Savers is a regulated Savings and Credit Co-operative Society, which was formed in 1979. The objective was to promote savings and provide members with the opportunity to access loans to develop and improve their economic and social status.

Initially the membership was drawn from General Motors EA. However, in 2014, the common bond opened to the public.

Today, the Sacco’s main objective is to be the investment partner of choice to its members. This goal is sustained by empowering members through provision of diversified financial products and services as a result the Sacco has registered a significant growth over the years with an asset base of 0.8B from 100M in the year 2014. The Sacco is currently regulated by Sacco Society Regulatory Authority (SASRA)
